लण्डन बर्न्ट ओक नेपाली समाज युकेको तेस्रो कार्यसमितिले गत ३ जनवरीमा बसेको बैठकबाट कार्यभार सम्हालेको छ । उक्त बैठक एभरेष्ट रेष्टुरेन्ट एजवेयरमा सम्पन्न भएको थियो । नयाँ कार्यसमितिको चयन २७ सेप्टेम्बर २००९ मा भएको साधारण सभामा गरिएको थियो । नयाँ कार्यसमितिको कार्यअवधि जनवरि २०१० देखि जनवरि २०१३ सम्म रहनेछ ।

बर्न्ट ओक नेपाली समाज, लण्डनले आफ्नो वाषिर्क कार्यक्रम मध्येको दशैं तिहार भव्यताका साथ सम्पन्न गरेको छ । समाजले गत १० अक्टोवर शनिबार बर्न्ट ओककै संगम भवनमा सो कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरेको हो ।

साँझ ६ बजेदेखि सुरु भएको सो कार्यक्रममा ४०० जनाको उपस्थिति थियो । सहभागीहरुले आपसमा दशैं र तिहारको शुभकामना आदानप्रदान गरेका थिए । जलपान, सेल रोटी, चट्नी, आलुदम जस्ता स्वादिष्ट नेपाली परिकारहरु स्टार्टरका रुपमा उपलव्ध गराइएको थियो ।

बर्न्ट ओक नेपाली समाजका प्रतिनिधि तथा हेन्डन निर्वाचन क्षेत्रका सांसद एन्ड्रयू डेसमोरबीच गत शनिवार भेटघाट तथा छलफल कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न भएको छ । हेण्डनमा वसोवास गरिरहेका नेपालीहरुलाई कस्तो सेवा सुविधा तथा सहुलियत दिन सकिन्छ भन्ने विषयमा छलफल गर्न उक्त भेटघाट कार्यक्रम सांसद एन्ड्रयूको पहलमा नै भएको थियो ।

NCVO launches its Members’ Assembly early next year. We want to ensure our members are represented and involved in our work and this Assembly aims to do just that. Twice a year, the Assembly – which will be made up of over 40 representatives of member organisations – will come together to take part in lively discussion and debate on the key policy issues faced by the sector. In turn, this will inform NCVO’s work and ensure that we remain truly representative of our member organisations and the people who work in them.
