Centre for Nepal Studies UK
Centre for Nepal Studies UK (CNSUK) is an organization registered in England and Wales under Companies Act 1985. The aim of CNSUK is to carry out research and to provide consultancy services in the areas of population, health, education, gender, community development and environmental issues in the UK and elsewhere. All the founder members of CNSUK are high level professionals, trained from reputed international universities, and have significant work experiences including high-profile organisations such as the United Nations and international research centres. Their fields of expertise cover population, health (including sexual and reproductive health, male involvement in sexual and reproductive health), education (including lifelong learning), gender and minority, gender and development, community development, environment, natural resources management and issues related to millennium development goals.
Vision & Mission
Our strategic vision is:
to be a leading organisation in advancing studies related to population, health, education, employment, housing, gender equality and equity, also rights and citizenship among the Nepalese ethnic minority living in the UK and the relationships of these aspects to promote social integration of Nepalese in the UK communities; and also to be a pioneer organisation for advancing studies related to population, health, education, environment, community development, and human rights issues and to influence policy and programmes towards improving the quality of life of Nepali citizens residing in Nepal.
Our mission therefore is:
1. to offer services to achieve our stated strategic visions through a collaborative policy research, research consultancies, research training and evaluation of completed as well as ongoing intervention programmes
2. to write and produce various print and electronic publications based on research and contents review such as research reports, working papers, books and journal articles.
3. to disseminate the summary of research findings through the newspaper of CNSUK (Europeko Nepalipatra-a Nepali newspaper published from London) and other similar newspapers published from UK and Nepal.
Our Commitment
1. CNSUK is dedicated to work towards improving the overall quality of life of Nepali ethnic minority residing in the UK which will ultimately contribute to UK's social and economic development and to form a cohesive UK multicultural society.
2. CNSUK strives to work for improving the overall quality of life of Nepali people residing in Nepal.
