Preparatory Meeting for 1 May 2010 BBQs
11 Wolsey Grove

Burnt Oak Nepalese Community – London held a Preparatory Meeting at 11  Wolsey Grove for 1 May 2010 BBQs. Please see the attendances at Annex A.

All attendances were welcome with a Delicious Sweets by the Vice President to share the joyous as he has became a Grand Dad. All Community members heartiy congratulated Gautam family specially wish a bright future and good health to the newly arrived member in our community.

The meeting discussed:

BBQ Items minimum per person:

  • Chicken Wings = 8
  • Sausages = 3
  • Pork Ribs = 2
  • Pork Bally = 2
  • Baked Potato Red = 1
  • Dal
  • Bhat
  • Tomato Chutney

Free Entry and Free Dhal Bhat and Chutney and use of the will be provided to the Vegetarians are requested to bring their own Vegi BBQs items.

BBQs Service Provider

External Agency will be providing the BBQ Items. A deal has been agreed to provide sufficient BBQs and Dhal, bhat and salads at the end of the day.

The above items will not be required as the BBQs provider will arrange them.

Raffle Draws

Ladies group will be conducting a Raffle Draw. Those who wish to sponsor prizes are requested to bring along the items on the day. As of today, the followings have pledged the sponsorship.

The prizes collection is being co-ordinated by Asst. Treasurer Gyan Gurung. All members are encouraged to sponsor for the prizes. Please bring the items with you on the day if any of you wish to sponsor the prize. The prize can be of anything from a bottle of wine to whatever one can afford.

Entertainments

Former Vice Chairman Khamir Jung has kindly agreed to arrange a music system as a form of entertainments.

Outdoor Seating Sets

There will be few chairs and tables available but members are advised to bring alone their picnic blanket and mats for their own comforts.

Stores and Equipments

The following items will be used from the Community Properties.

  • 2 x Community BBQs stands.
  • Chairs
  • Table
  • Community Banners

A volunteered member is rather much appreciated transporting the above equipments from and back to the stores.

Transport

Transportation can be arranged if advance request is received. Please, contact the General Secretary for those wishing to book the transport. However, The following is the Public Bus route details:
    

  • Bus 114 (towards Ruislip) Burnt Oak – South Harrow
  • Buss 140 (towards Heathrow Central) South Harrow Station – Moat Farm Road

There are ample car parks at the BBQ Venue for those who are travelling by their own cars.
